In 1988, when Sendai City became the city of designated by government ordinance, Nishi Taga Work Campus Team and Miyagi Sagyousho Team also became into one team as a club-Miyagi Club-former Miyagi Max.

In 1996, we changed name to Miyagi Max and we were the largest and only one wheelchair basketball team in Miyagi-Pre.Not only physically challenged people but also ordinary people joined as supporters and it was very gorgeous days.n

Miyagi Club was winning in Tohoku Tournament three continuous times and it was well known in Tohoku area as a strong team. However, make one win was a goal in nationwide level and we have been in difficult time for a while. We could not win for a long time in Physically Challenged People National Sports because we needed to attend these tournaments divided into Miyagi-Pre and Sendai City.

     In 1999, won Japan Tournament. Sato Masatetsu was selected as MVP.

After striving so many years, in 2001, we finally won in the third position in Physically Challenged People National Sports of Miyagi, which made us a nationwide famous. Mr Iwasa, our head coach, also attracted good players.

After that, we made our training better program to win as best 4 teams in Japan Tournament. In 2002, Reo Fujimoto joined Miyagi Max as a center that was what we have been waiting for. Hironori Takahashi also shifted to Miyagi Max that gave us more strongness.

As of June 2003, winning 7 continuous times in Tohoku Tournament, remains in Best 4 teams in Japan Tournament and 2 continuous wins in Physically Challenged People National Sports. We became stronger team than ever before.
